Former WeDriveU Vice President joins as Director of Business Development, bringing 15+ years of experience to Zeelo's growth with employers and private schools across California, Oregon and Washington

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 3, 2026 — Zeelo, the fully managed transportation provider for employers and schools, today announced the appointment of transportation industry veteran Gillian Zoss as Director of Business Development. Zoss will lead the company's West Coast expansion, offering employers and private schools across the region a single partner accountable for the whole program, from the technology to the vehicles.

Gillian Zoss, Director of Business Development at Zeelo

Zoss brings more than 15 years of experience in the transportation industry. She joins Zeelo from WeDriveU, where she spent 11 years as Vice President of Business Development, partnering with leading corporations across the Bay Area, California, Oregon and Washington to build and grow their employee transportation programs. Before that, she spent five years in sales at Creative Bus Sales in Hayward, California.

Closing the missing middle
Organizations moving people to work or school have traditionally hired an operator to run the fleet, licensed software to provide real time tracking, or both. Between the two sits what Zeelo calls the "missing middle": the day-to-day management of the program, and accountability for whether it delivers, including keeping cost on target.

Zeelo's fully managed model closes that gap by bringing three elements together under one partner: technology, with real-time visibility and continuously optimized routes; management, through a proactive service team that runs the program day to day; and transportation, through a vetted, flexible network of operators and drivers. The result is one point of accountability, with incentives aligned to the customer's success.

A new alternative on the West Coast
West Coast employers face return-to-office mandates, hybrid work patterns, competitive hiring, congestion and ambitious sustainability targets. Zeelo offers a flexible alternative for those who want more than a shuttle contract or another piece of software. For the region's private schools, Zeelo combines vetted drivers, live vehicle tracking and a parent and student app, helping schools widen their catchment, ease campus traffic and support enrollment, with safety at the core.

"The West Coast has had strong shuttle options for years, but it hasn't had one where a single partner owns the whole outcome," said Sam Ryan, CEO & Co-Founder of Zeelo. "Gillian knows this market as well as anyone. She's the right person to bring our model to employers and private schools across the West Coast, and we're thrilled to welcome her to the team."

"I've seen firsthand how important reliable transportation is, both to businesses and to the people who keep them running," said Zoss. "What excites me about Zeelo is that it brings the technology, the day-to-day management and the transportation together under one partner who is accountable for the result. Instead of managing a bus company and a software vendor separately, organizations get one team focused on what they need. I'm excited to bring that to the Bay Area and across the West Coast."
